Einfachheit ohne Vereinfachung

Mit Farockis Nachlass zu arbeiten, heißt auch, auf bisher verschollene, abgebrochene oder umgelenkte Projekte zu stoßen.

Berlin, Kantstraße 12a, Delphi Filmpalast, Februar 1982. Harun Farocki und Ronny Tanner haben einen Tisch und einen Stuhl im Foyer des Kinos aufgebaut. Ein Schild informiert: »Harun Farocki rührt die Werbetrommel für seinen Film Etwas wird sichtbar und somit an den Schlaf der Welt.« Der Raum ist gut gefüllt, Zuhörerinnen und Zuhörer bilden einen weitläufigen Kreis um die improvisierte Bühne. »Kommen Sie etwas näher«, fordert Farocki das Publikum auf, »wir bevorzugen die leisen Töne.
